Our services

Occupational support with incapacitation and reintegration

What can we help you with?

We are specialists in the field of “People, Work and Income”. All our occupational experts are members of the NVVA. In case of absenteeism, you can contact us for an occupational assessment. This can be part of the “first-year evaluation” of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act. Of course, the assessment can also take place at a much earlier time, especially if it is already clear that the agreed job is no longer suitable for your employee. Don’t wait too long before you call an occupational expert! At the latest, a second track must be started in the 58th week of absenteeism (if advised).

For reintegration support we work with professionals who are affiliated with the NOLOC and/or the NVVA. We have a toolbox with supporting material, such as personality tests, career choice tests, a reintegration workbook, etc. We always look for an expert who lives in the vicinity of the employee, for better insights into the regional labor market.

More about us

Occupational assessment

Employers usually contact us when the first-year evaluation needs to take place. This is part of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act. However, in many cases an assessment can be initiated much earlier. As soon as the question can be raised if the job is still suitable for the employee, an assessment can be requested. Should this result in a recommendation to look for other suitable work, both parties will have much more time available to work on this carefully. Based on the Employability Profile of the company doctor, the occupational expert will weigh the workload of the job (what is expected of the employee?) against the abilities of the employee (what can the employee do or not do anymore?).

The following questions will be answered in the occupational assessment:
1. Is the job suitable for the employee?
2. Can the job be made suitable by making adjustments and/or adding certain facilities?
3. Is there other suitable work at the current employer?
4. Is other suitable work possible outside the current employer?

All four questions will be answered in the occupational assessment. You will receive clear advice on how to proceed next and what should be the first steps. The occupational expert is the first person to call about the rather complicated legislation on disability.

Back to work

Reintegration is the process of supporting employees to get back into the workforce if they have been at home for a period of time due to illness. This can take place at different moments, with the current employer or with another employer. Within the reintegration process we distinguish 1st track, 2nd track and 3rd track.

For each track, the employee is paired with a permanent coach. We look for a colleague who lives in the vicinity of the employee for better insights in the regional labor market. At agreed times a report is sent to the employer, so they can follow the progress. If there is an application involved based on the Work and Income (Employment Capacity) Act (WIA), we will write a report that can be sent to the UWV, as part of the RIV (reintegration report).

More information about reintegration

Specifically for reintegration support we seek cooperation with Maaike de Bruijn (bewustzijninwording.nl) and Jack de Wit (hetpersoneelspunt.nl). We discuss cases on a regular basis, as well as the impact of (changes in) laws and regulation. In between we call each other regularly to exchange ideas about certain situations or to look for other specialists. This way we keep each other on our toes: are there other opportunities we haven’t thought of yet? Are the interests of employer and employee being supported in the best possible way? Are further opportunities feasible?
